Our fee-for-service model allows us to provide customized review / research / reports – reflecting a completely independent and “agnostic” approach to matching client needs with specific policy styles – and strategies for funding.
We like to start with a “Life Insurance Property Management Statement” – analogous to the “Investment Policy Statement” most investment professionals use to translate their new client’s risk tolerance into an asset allocation blueprint. We use this process to make sure that the policy or policies acquired for lifetime uses will meet the expectations of the buyer/owner. Part of the process is to deliver to the broker and client a completed LIPMS validating the policy and funding choices – and giving direction for ongoing management of the policy or policies.
We work with insurance professionals and your client/prospect – typically starting with a joint conference call in which we participate as YOUR resource – to discover what he/she needs and wants, and to discover long-term financial goals and risk tolerance etc.
The client/prospect quickly learns that we are a resource for sound, independent, and objective advice – stipulating we don’t believe there is such a thing as “one size fits all / perfect product for everybody.” This is especially an issue for individuals between age 40 – 60 for which at first glance might suggest any of IUL, GUL, VUL, UL or WL as a reasonable decision.
We can work on an hourly basis ($350 per hour) or project basis. Project fees can range from $750 to $2,500 depending on the scope of the engagement. We encourage the client to pay our fee, because clients engaging us is the approach underlying our unique rise as Insurance Fiduciary. We work for the client – through the broker. Our services agreement specifies we do NOT sell insurance and we do NOT receive or accept commissions.
With appropriate disclosure and the client’s confirmation – insurance professionals may elect to pay for these services.
